A lovely pair of cut glass and silver mounted knife rests in their original box. They are good quality and both hallmarked for Haseler Brothers, Birmingham, 1910.
They are in good condition. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and a few small nibbles on the glass but nothing detrimental. The hallmarks are a little rubbed but still readable. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
The set comes in its original silk and velvet lined box with the retailers name "Depree & Young Ltd" in gilt lettering below the lid. There are fitted sections to hold the knife rests and the outside of the box is covered in black leather type material with gilt edging and a press catch to keep it closed. The box is in good condition and the interior is very clean with just some minor marks and scuffs on the edges (see photos).
