A fine pair of polychrome engravings after Angelica Kauffman. They date from the 19th Century and are in their original round giltwood frames with black and gilt verre eglomise painted mounts.
They are in good condition for their age. The frames have suffered some small losses and damages over the years but the gilding is still bright and vibrant. The black mount on one has started to flake and rub away and some of this has moved across the glass in front of the print (see photo) but they are still very decorative and display beautifully as a matching pair.
