A pair of good quality Sterling Silver knife rests with stylish bow shaped bases and ball finials. They are both fully hallmarked for William Bate & Sons, Sheffield, 1903. One is marked '7' and the other '9'. They are good quality and weigh approximately 71g.
They are in good condition for their age with clear hallmarks. There are some faint surface marks and signs of age and use and a small split near one edge (see photo) but overall they display well. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
