Product Details

A fine matched pair of solid silver salt cellars with a wavy rim standing on four ball and claw feet. There is a pierced design below the rim with further engraving and a griffin family crest on both pieces. Both salts also have their blue glass liners. They are stylish and superb quality and a good size weighing approximately 89g without the liners.

The first is hallmarked for London 1788 by Edward Fernell. The second, made to match at a later date, is hallmarked for London 1808 by Thomas Johnson.
They are in excellent condition with clear hallmarks. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and small dinks but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
