Product Details

A fine example of a pair of Georgian spoons. They are a large tablespoon size or small serving spoon. They have beautiful finely engraved decoration on the handles and initials W+E below a H on the tip, perhaps commemorating a birth or marriage. They are good quality and weigh approximately 120g.

They measure approximately 8 1/4" (21cm) long and the bowls are 1 1/2" (4cm) wide x 3" (7.5cm) long.

They are fully hallmarked for London, 1786 and the maker Hester Bateman.

They are in good condition with very clear hallmarks. There are no major damages and they display beautifully. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light marks and dinks around the bowls but nothing detrimental. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use.
