Product Details

A superb example of a pair of 18th Century solid Sterling Silver salt and pepper shakers or pepperettes. They are set on square footed bases with urn shaped bodies and helmet shaped lids. Both have gilded interiors which are bright and vibrant. They are stylish and good quality, weighing approximately 100g.

They are clearly hallmarked on the base for Henry Chawner, London, 1793.
They are both in excellent condition and have been gently cleaned and polished. There are some faint surface marks and signs of age and use and a very slight lean on one but nothing detrimental and they display beautifully.
Approximate Measurements :
Height : 3 1/2" (9cm)
Width : 1 1/2" (4cm)

Base : 1 1/4" (3cm) square
