An original Anglepoise lamp designed by Herbert Terry in the 1950s in an unusual and striking red colour. It has an adjustable articulated arm with sprung joints allowing for it to be manipulated into a variety of positions. The angle of the shade is adjustable and the lamp swivels on the weighted two-step base. It has its original shade and has retained its original bakelite bulb holder.
The lamp has been re-wired to modern standards with a black braided cord and it takes a standard bayonet bulb.
The lamp is in excellent original condition. There are signs of use and wear around the base and some small marks around the rest of the lamp and some minor chips of paint loss but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and PAT tested and is ready for use.
