Product Details

A lovely original machinists' chair made by Singer in the early 20th Century. The wooden seat sits on a cast iron base with 4 splayed legs, each stamped 'SINGER'. It has an adjustable wing nut screw that tightens or loosens to allow the chair to be adjusted in height. It also has a small adjustable wooden back rest on curved supports stamped "Simanco 94500".

It is in very good condition for its age. The adjustable revolving mechanism runs smoothly and the chair is very stable. There are general signs of age and use and some marks on the top but nothing detrimental and it has developed a nice aged patina and displays very nicely. Certainly a very usable piece.
Approximate Measurements :
Height (adjustable) : 32" (81cm)
Diameter of seat : 14" (36cm)

Depth : 17" (43cm)

Base Width : 11" (28cm)
