A lovely original machinists' chair made by Singer in the early 20th Century. The wooden seat sits on a cast iron base with 4 splayed legs, each stamped 'SINGER'. It has an adjustable wing nut screw that tightens or loosens to allow the chair to be adjusted in height. It also has a small adjustable wooden back rest on curved supports stamped "Simanco 94500".
