A very decorative oil painting on canvas depicting the Crucifixion. It is well executed with lots of detail and is believed to date from the late 18th / early 19th century.
It is framed in a good quality period gilt frame, although probably not the original. There is some wear and minor losses around the frame.
The painting is in good condition for its age. There have been numerous small repairs but there are no major losses or damages and overall it displays very well. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang.
