A good quality and very decorative oil painting of a gentleman dating from the 19th Century. The painting is on canvas and is framed in a gilt frame.
There are signs of age, some surface marks and creases and there is one small tear in the canvas which has been repaired from behind but it still displays well. There are some minor losses and small damages around the frame but it is bright and it has a good aged look. The painting has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang.
