A superb miniature chest of drawers, dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It is a charming piece with two small over three long drawers, each with small ceramic knobs. It is made from pine which has its original grained finish and it stands on small bun feet. It is very well made and each drawer is beautifully made with hand-cut dovetail joints. It was likely an apprentice piece or a salesman's sample.
It is in good original condition. It has a wonderful aged patina and it is sturdy and the joints are strong. The drawers are clean and tidy and all open smoothly. There are some general signs of age and use and minor marks, a small chip on the back piece of moulding and a chip on one knob but nothing detrimental and overall it displays very well.
