An original Fase desk lamp dating from the 1960s. It is the iconic 'flying saucer' design with a large golden metal shade suspended on a chrome arm standing on a weighted round base. The angle of the shade is adjustable and there is an on/off switch at the back of the shade. The lamp is missing its original glass bowl below the shade but it is in working order and has been re-wired to modern standards with a gold flex cable.
The base of the lamp is approximately 8 1/2" (22cm) in diameter and the shade is 12" (30cm) in diameter. The lamp stands approximately 15" (38cm) tall. Ideal size for use as a desk lamp or on a side table. A real statement piece.
There are general signs of age and use, some light surface marks, some minor paint loss and light pitting on the metal parts but nothing detrimental. It has been lightly cleaned to retain its aged patina and overall it displays very well.
