A large model boat with its original live steam engine boiler, dating from the early 20th Century. The boat itself is very well made with lots of lovely detail including an anchor, handrail and rope edge. The bottom half is painted green with a black line and a white top half.
Inside the boat is a marine steam engine with large brass boiler, pressure gauge and its original burner. We have tested the engine with a small compressor and all parts appear to move as they should. It is connected to the propellor and it does turn when the engine turns but we have not tested the boat on water and it is sold as seen.
At some point additional radio controlled wiring has been added to the rear of the boat but I don't believe this is complete.
It is in good condition for its age. There are signs of age and use, some knocks and marks and small paint losses around the outside but nothing detrimental. There is some wear and light rust on parts of the boiler and engine but all parts move freely.
