A good example of an original antique Leica camera made in 1939. It is a model IIIb complete with built in rangefinder. It comes with its original Leitz f=5cm 1:2 lens, no.523810. It also comes with its original leather Leica case.
It is in very good condition for its age and has clearly been well looked after. The black vulcanite is in good order with very little fading and no major marks. The metal fittings are generally bright and clean with some minor tarnishing and some light surface marks but nothing detrimental.
The viewfinder is bright and the rangefinder has contrast. Although I've not tested shutter speeds they sound and look in good order. The film advance and rewind are smooth and the shutter curtains are in good condition. The lens looks clean and bright given its age and doesn't appear to have any faults.
