No. 236586

A good example of an original antique Leica camera made in 1937. It is a model II complete with built in rangefinder. It comes with a Leitz Elmar f=5cm 1:3.5 lens and its original Leica lens cover.
It is in very good condition for its age and has clearly been well looked after. The black vulcanite is in good order with very little fading and no major marks. The chrome fittings are generally bright and clean with some minor tarnishing and some light surface marks and there is some wear to the chrome around one eyepiece on the back of the camera (see photo). There is a very small dent on one bottom corner and a small area on the bottom that is slightly scratched but generally the body is very good and displays well.
The viewfinder is bright and the rangefinder has contrast. Although I've not tested shutter speeds they sound and look in good order. The film advance and rewind are smooth and the shutter curtains are in good condition. The lens looks clean and bright given its age and doesn't appear to have any faults.
