A good example of a large antique Sterling Silver jug. It is an elegant shape with a bulbous body and scrolling handle set on four feet. The jug is stylish and good quality with a gilded interior and it weighs approximately 222g.
It is clearly hallmarked on the base for London, 1854 and the maker George Ivory.
It is in excellent condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks and minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it displays beautifully. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
