A beautiful pine chest of drawers dating from late 19th Century. It is a good large size and offers plenty of storage. Each drawer has its original white ceramic knobs and they sit on a plinth base. The pine has a lovely colour and is finished with its original stain.
They are a cottage set, having been cut into two parts to get up narrow stair cases. The two halves are dowelled together and are very sturdy as a solid piece but do split to allow easy movement.
They are in very good condition for their age. Each drawer is generally clean and tidy and opens and closes smoothly. There are some signs of age and use with light surface marks, scratches, knocks and some minor wear to the finish but nothing detrimental. They have been cleaned and given a gentle polish and are ready for use.
