A beautiful pine chest of drawers with original painted decoration, dating from the mid to late 19th Century. It is a particularly large size and offers plenty of storage. Each drawer has its original white ceramic knob and they sit on a plinth base.
They are in very good condition for their age. Each drawer is clean and tidy and has had the runners either repaired or replaced to ensure each drawer opens and closes smoothly. There are plenty of signs of age and use with surface marks, scratches, knocks and wear to the finish which has created a wonderful worn patina. There are a few small knocks and chips around the base but nothing detriemntal. The back is solid and clean and they are a strong and sturdy chest of drawers. They have been cleaned and given a gentle polish and are ready for use.
