A lovely mahogany open bookcase dating from the late 19th Century. It is a simple design set on a plinth base with a shaped cornice. The shelves are made of pine with mahogany fronts and their position is adjustable.
It is a good size with grand proportions. It is in good condition for its age and the mahogany has developed a nice patina. It is not without some small knocks and marks and there have been a few minor repairs to the veneer but nothing untoward or detrimental and it displays well. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
