A large mahogany chest of drawers dating from the late 19th Century. They are set on a plinth base with two short over three long drawers, each with their original turned wooden knobs. The top has a moulded edge and the corners of the chest are nicely rounded. They are good quality set and very well made with a lovely rich patina and warm colour.
They are in very good condition for their age. There are the usual small signs of wear and use, a few marks and knocks and a small stain on the top surface but nothing detrimental and they display beautifully. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside.
