A good example of an early Anglepoise lamp dating from the late 1930s. It is a particularly large size with a heavy weighted base. It has its original shade and an adjustable articulated arm with sprung joints allowing for it to be manipulated into a variety of positions. The angle of the shade is adjustable and the lamp swivels on the square base.
The lamp has been re-wired to modern standards with a black braided cord and it takes a standard bayonet bulb.
The lamp is in good original condition. There are signs of age and use, some small marks and knocks, some tarnishing on the metal springs and some minor chips of paint loss here and there but nothing detrimental or untoward. It has been cleaned and PAT tested and is ready for use.
