A superb oak corner cupboard dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has a pair of panelled doors enclosing a painted interior with 3 shaped shelves and some original hooks. The doors are inlaid with ebony stringing and sit below an overhanging cornice with dentil moulding. The cupboard is low waisted with a pair of small doors in the bottom part enclosing a further painted and shelved interior. The cupboard does split into two sections at the middle making it easy to move and transport.
It is in very good condition for its age and displays beautifully. There have been some minor repairs and restorations over the years, the interior has been repainted at some point and some of the paint on the shelves has worn. There are other general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it comes with its original working key to both top and bottom doors. It has been cleaned and given a light coat of wax to retain its natural aged patina and it is ready for use.
