A large oak chest of drawers dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. There are two short over four long drawers, each with brass plate handles and inlaid ebony diamond shaped escutcheons. The chest stands on bracket feet. They are a good quality country set and the oak has mellowed to a lovely warm colour.
They are in good condition for their age and are strong and sturdy. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. There are signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks but nothing detrimental. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
