Product Details

A superb French Farmhouse table dating from the late 19th century. It has the most wonderful twin plank top, believed to be Birch or Sycamore, and stands on square tapering elm legs with a small drawer on one side. It is a good size, comfortably seating 6-8 people, and the legs have been tipped to give a good leg clearance of 24" (61cm) all around.

The table has lots of character and the patination and wear on the top is lovely. There are various natural knots and burrs and old marks and the planks have mellowed to an attractive warm colour. The drawer sides have been repaired at some point and there are minor signs of old worm which has all been treated as a precaution and haven't affected the table structurally or aesthetically. There are various knocks and marks around the legs and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental and it is a solid and sturdy table.
