A large antique pine box dating from the early 20th century. It is most likely continental and it is a good quality piece with dovetail joints. It has its original strap hinges and small lidded candle box inside.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. The pine has mellowed to a lovely warm colour and the interior is generally clean and tidy. There are some signs of use and age, some general knocks and surface marks but nothing detrimental and no major damages. The box has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
