A good example of a particularly large harvest jug dating from the mid to late 19th century, believed to be by Verwood Pottery. It has an earthenware body with a glazed rim and handle.
It is in good condition for its age. It is a very rustic piece with natural imperfections in the glaze and a rough surface with fabulous patina. There are some signs of age and use, a few small marks and minor scuffs but no major damages and it displays very well.
