A large Victorian pine dresser base dating from the late 19th Century. It has three drawers above three cupboard doors which each open to a shelved interior. The drawers have turned wooden knobs which match the knobs on the cupboards and each cupboard has a wooden latch to keep it closed. It is a good quality piece with a thick planked top with breadboard ends and a small raised upstand. It stands on a pretty shaped plinth base.
It is in good condition for its age. It is generally clean and tidy inside and is strong and sturdy. There have been some old repairs over the years but nothing untoward. There are lots of signs of age and use which has created a wonderful aged patina but no major damages. There are signs of old worm which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally and it still displays beautifully. It has been cleaned and given a gentle wax and polish and is ready for use.
