A good example of a large solid silver pedestal bowl. It is stylish and good quality with four grape and vine decorated ring handles, in the manner of Georg Jensen. It stands on a round bulbous stem with ball feet.
It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham, 1926 although the maker's mark is rubbed. It is stamped underneath for the retailer "Connell, 83 Cheapside" who were renowned for the retail of Arts and Crafts silver. It weighs approximately 1241g.
It is in excellent condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are some faint surface marks, light dinks and minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
