A lovely 19th Century pine high back box Settle. It has a curving planked back with traditional wing shaped sides and arms. It has a thick seat with two useful lift up storage compartments in.
It is in good condition for its age and the pine has a wonderful warm colour. There are signs of age and use and also signs of old worm in many parts (see photos). It has all been treated as a precaution and has created a lovely aged patina. The whole piece has been cleaned and given a gentle wax and is ready for use.
