A good antique pine blanket box dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The pine has mellowed to a lovely warm colour and the box has metal carrying handles.
A good size for a coffee table, end of the bed storage or toy trunk.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It is strong and sturdy and generally clean and tidy inside. The hinges aren't original but are strong and sturdy and there are some minor historic signs of worm which hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. There are signs of age and use, some general knocks and light marks but nothing detrimental. The box has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
