Product Details

A good example of a large antique solid sterling silver box. It is an oval shape with a domed top and a good quality reeded border around the base and the lid. It was awarded as a prize in 1937 and the top is engraved "Brewers Exhibition 1937. Hampshire & Surrey Section. Presented by Abol Ltd".

It is clearly hallmarked for Chester, 1937 and the maker S.Blanckensee & Son Ltd.

It is in good condition for its age although it has picked up some small dinks and minor surface marks. There are a couple of light scratches on the top and other signs of age and use but no major damages and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
