Product Details

A superb example of a stacking oak bookcase dating from the late 19th / early 20th Century. It has six glazed sections, each with an 'up and over' sliding door. It is a good quality piece with a nicely finished plinth base, panelled sides and bevelled borders around the glass. It has a lovely patina and the oak has a nice warm colour.

As is typical with these pieces each section splits down so it can be easily transported.

There is a retailer / maker's stamp on the reverse for "Morgan & Co. The Hayes. Cardiff".

It is in good condition for its age and displays well. It is not without some signs of age and use and there is an old restored split across the top of section two but no major damages or anything detrimental. The bookcase has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.

Approximate Measurements :

Width : 34 1/4" / 87cm

Height : 84 1/2" / 215cm

Depth : 13" / 33cm at the base
