A lovely oak open bookcase dating from the early 20th Century. It is an attractive piece set on shaped bracket feet with a raised gallery and moulded columns flanking the open front. It has three shelves with matching moulded detail on the fronts. The position of the shelves are adjustable and there are brackets that can be moved up and down on wooden teeth.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. The oak has developed a wonderful mellow aged patina. It is not without some small knocks and marks, minor shrinkage splits and general signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental. It has been cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
