A large antique oval wall mirror with a gilded frame dating from the late 19th century. It has acanthus leaf decoration with a beaded border and its original bevelled mirror plate. There is an additional mounted block on the top of the mirror which would have likely supported some more elaborate decoration which now is missing or has been removed.
The mirror is in good condition for its age. The gilding is bright and clean and the mirror is strong and sturdy. There are some small knocks and minor losses around the frame but nothing detrimental. There are a few minor age spots on the glass and a couple of light surface scratches but it displays well.
