A lovely antique Farmhouse table, most likely French, dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. It has a superb planked top and stands on square tapering legs with two small drawers on one side. It is a good size being just over 6ft long and it comfortably seats 6-8 people. It is a sensible sitting height with a comfortable leg clearance of 24 1/2" (62cm) all around.
The table has a lot of character and the patination and wear on the top is lovely and the pine planks have mellowed to an attractive warm colour. There are some signs of age and use, general marks and minor knocks but nothing detrimental and it is a solid and sturdy table. There are signs of old worm which has all been treated as a precaution and haven't affected the table structurally or aesthetically.
