Stunning set of antique scales. The scales themselves are brass and they are set on a superb quality mahogany base on four raised bun feet. The scales come with a set of five brass weights weighing 16oz, 16oz, 8oz, 4oz and 2oz.

The set is in good original condition. They have been lightly cleaned and polished to retain their natural patina and aged look. The brass has tarnished with age and there are some small knocks and scuffs around the base but no major damage and they display very nicely. The scales appear to work as they should do but I have not tested them for accuracy and they are really being sold as a decorative item rather than an accurate scientific set of scales.
These are not your average set of scales, they are a particularly large and exceptionally good quality set.
