A large Bergere cane window seat or hall bench dating from the late 19th Century. It has a Beech frame and stands on elegant turned legs joined by turned stretchers. It has its original canework seat which is in excellent condition. It is a good large size, perfect for a hall, window bay or the end of a bed.
It is in good condition with a lovely rich patina. There are signs of age and use, some surface marks and light knocks but nothing detrimental and it is strong and sturdy and displays well.
