A good pine chest of drawers dating from late 19th Century. The pine has a lovely warm colour and a smooth waxed finish. Each drawer has a turned wooden knob and it stands on bracket feet with an attractive shaped apron. The knobs are not original but suit the piece well. It is a good large size offering plenty of storage.
It is in very good condition for its age. Each drawer is generally clean and tidy and opens and closes smoothly. There are some signs of age and use with light surface marks and minor knocks but nothing detrimental. There are some minor signs of historic worm which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. It has been cleaned and given a gentle wax and is ready for use.
