Product Details

A good example of a Georgian solid Sterling Silver sugar shaker. It is a stylish piece with a square foot and bulbous urn shaped body with a round finial. It is a good quality piece weighing approximately 115g.

It is clearly hallmarked on the base for London, 1803 and S.H for the maker's mark which I believe to be Solomon Hougham.

It is engraved on one side of the foot "don de sa grand mère" which translates from French as "A gift from my Grandmother".

It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays beautifully. There are signs of age and use, some surface marks, light scratches and minor dinks but nothing untoward for a piece of this age. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.

Approximate Measurements :
Height : 6" (15cm)
Base : 2" (5cm) square
