A good example of a small silver pap boat or feeding vessel, likely dating from the mid 18th Century. It is of typical boat form with a reeded edge. It has an engraved monogram which looks like "G" on the rear. It is a good quality piece and weighs approximately 69g.
It does not have any clear hallmarks but has been tested as silver. They are usually stamped just below where the monogram is and there is a faint outline of something which looks like a hallmark but it has obviously been well used or well polished and they are not now visible.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are some faint surface scratches and a few light marks and a couple of small dents around the back of the bowl but no major damages.
