A good example of a Sterling Silver milk or cream jug. It is an elegant design with a beautifully curved pouring spout and delicate engraved bands of decoration. There is a cartouche on the front engraved with the initials B.L.
The jug is good quality, weighing approximately 92g, and is clearly hallmarked for London, 1802, and the maker George Burrows
It is in good condition for its age. There are some faint surface marks, small dinks and signs of age and use but nothing detrimental or untoward and it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
