A lovely oak tilt-top table dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It is a good size with a circular planked top set on a turned baluster support with nicely shaped tripod splayed legs. The oak has mellowed to a lovely warm colour and it has its original blacksmith-made closing latch.
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use, a few marks and stains on the top surface and a few old repairs but no major damages or anything detrimental. The whole piece has a beautiful rich patina and is a lovely honest piece of country furniture.
