A good quality oak corner cupboard with a shelved interior dating from the late 18th Century. It is made of oak with pine backboards and pine shelves. It has a nicely panelled door with brass hinges and a matching brass escutcheon. There are two metal hanging brackets and it comes with its original working key.
It is in good condition with a wonderful rich patina. The hinges are in good order and it is strong and sturdy. The backboards are later replacements and one outer strip of oak moulding has also been replaced at some point. There is some old worm near one edge which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. It has been cleaned and lightly waxed and is ready for use.
