A good example of an oak Delft Rack dating from the late 18th Century. There are three shelves, each with their original rails and the base has a nicely chamfered moulded edge. It has a shaped cornice with a beautiful fretwork carved panel below and the shelves are flanked by reeded columns.
It is in very good condition for its age and the oak has developed a wonderful rich patina. There are no major damages and the piece is strong and sturdy. There are some minor signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
