A good example of a country oak Cricket Table dating from the late 18th Century. It has a circular planked top set on three turned legs joined by square stretchers. It has a particularly nice and unusual drawer set into the frieze with a brass drop handle.
It is in good original condition with a wonderful patina. There are signs of use and age but no major damages and it is strong and sturdy. There are various old marks, light knocks, some old ink stains and a few old honest repairs but nothing detrimental or untoward. The end of the drop handle has broken off but there is enough left to still open it. There are some minor signs of historic worm which has all been treated and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. It has been lightly cleaned and polished to retain its aged patina and it is ready for use.
