A good oak chest of drawers dating from the late 18th Century. They have a nice arrangement of four long drawers with pierced brass plate handles and matching escutcheons. They are made of solid oak with a lovely rich colour and they stand on bracket feet. The drawers open smoothly and are clean and tidy inside.
They are in very good condition for their age. They have developed a lovely patina and are strong and sturdy. There are signs of age and use and they have picked up some small knocks and marks and there are some minor old shrinkage splits but nothing detrimental. One bottom handle is slightly different from the rest of the set but overall they display well. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
