A lovely small oak chest of drawers dating from the late 18th Century. They are made of solid oak with two small over three long drawers. They are excellent quality and each drawer has their original brass swan neck handles. The top has a moulded edge and the chest stands on bracket feet.
They are in good condition for their age and are strong and sturdy with a solid planked back. The drawers open smoothly and are generally clean and tidy inside. They have developed a wonderful rich patina and have picked up various small knocks, marks and signs of age and use. There are some old repaired shrinkage splits in the sides and a few other small repairs but nothing detrimental or untoward. They have been cleaned and gently polished and are ready for use.
