A lovely antique candle or taper box dating from the late 18th / early 19th Century. It has a hinged lift up lid and a small fixing hole at the back to allow for it to be hung on a wall. It is made from oak with the most lovely colour and patina.
It is in good condition for its age. There are signs of age and use, a few small marks and minor knocks and chips but no major damages. It has been cleaned and lightly polished and displays well.
