A lovely antique candle or taper box dating from the 19th Century. It is made of oak with a sliding lid and a hole in the back to allow it to be hung on a wall. It is well made with dovetail joints and a lovely colour and patina.
It is in good condition for its age. There are signs of age and use, a few small marks, minor knocks and splits but no major damages. It has been cleaned and gently polished and displays well.
