An elegant mahogany washstand dating from the early 1800s. It stands on four straight chamfered legs with a middle shelf and lower crossed stretchers joining the legs. There is also a small drawer below the shelf. The flat top lifts off to reveal cut outs for a washbowl below.
It is in good condition for its age and is strong and sturdy. There are some minor signs of age and use, some light marks and knocks and an old shrinkage split across the shelf but no major damages and overall it displays well. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
